In this step, we're going to set up a test sales opportunity so we can go on to place a test order.

We recommend setting up an In-Person Sales Opportunity for your test.

Creating an In-Person Sales Opportunity

  1. Navigate to the client to whom you wish to sell.
  2. Click on the "Sales Opportunities" link, all the way on the right, toward the top of the screen.
  3. Click on the "Create In Person Sales Opportunity" button.
  4. Fill out the client's info, choose your meeting preferences and fill out the sales meeting info section. For the purposes of this test order, you can really put anything you want in these fields, we're going to go through the entire IPS sales process in a minute and mark any orders you place as a test order, anyway. So go nuts. =) To learn how to embed a slideshow from a different website, click here.
  5. When you're finished filling everything out, click "Save Session"
  6. The first time you do this, we'll take you on to another screen all about this test order. Every time aft that, on the screen that loads after saving, you can click on the session details to add that session to your calendar. (It will also create a link in the calendar event that goes straight to Start Meeting.)
  7. That's it! You've set up your first In-Person Sales meeting!

Creating an Online Sales Opportunity (not recommended for your test order)

  1. Navigate to the client to whom you wish to sell.
  2. Click on the "Sales Opportunities" link, all the way on the right, toward the top of the screen.
  3. Click on the "Online" tab on the left.
  4. Click on the "Create Online Sales Opportunity" button.
  5. Fill out your client's first name and email address (for the purposes of this test order, enter your information here so you can go through what the client will see)
  6. You can edit the subject line and content of this email, if you'd like, but you don't have to do anything else.
  7. Click the "Invite Client" button. This will send this email over to your client, inviting them to view and purchase the galleries you've created for them!
  8. That's it, you've just set up your first Online Sale!
